2. Inspiration

If you want to be successful, I highly recommend learning to be happy first. With practice, joy can become your personality and your whole life. As if that wasn’t enough, it also makes you more attractive. Joy becomes you, in every sense of becoming.

Reliable access to joy begins with mind training. The more the mind becomes familiar with joy, the more it perceives joy, inclines towards joy, and effortlessly creates the conditions conducive to joy. We familiarize the mind with joy by welcoming it, staying open to it, spending time with it, paying careful attention to it, and getting to know it well. Hello, joy.

3. Reflection or Challenge

Simply notice joy in the next day. Whenever there is joy arising, even if it is merely a subtle hint of joy, simply notice that there is joy. That is all. The more you notice these thin slices of joy, the more they appear to be everywhere, because they have always been there. You just never noticed them before. Noticing sounds trivial, but it is important. Why? Because noticing is the prerequisite to seeing.

4. Closing: Appreciation

Close the meeting with an Appreciation Circle. Give each person a chance to say something they appreciate about the person to their left.
